Campino with physiotherapist before a show
—Die Toten Hosen are widely known in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Their shows attract thousands of fans in Argentina and Mexico as well. Since their founding in 1982 in Düsseldorf their popularity has been growing steadily. Stadiums, festival fields and halls are regular venues but they also perform in small places such as private apartments, on boats, firestations etc. to pay tribute to their many faithful fans. Assigned by the magazine „Stern“ I had access to all areas for many days on tour in 2008. In the following years the band asked me to photograph them at other shows, ranging from large scale festivals as „Rock am Ring“ to small venues like „SO36“ in Berlin.
